Clean Penetrations. Zero Damage. Every Time.
Core drilling requires precision, the right equipment, and an experienced operator. A poorly executed core drill can damage surrounding concrete, cut through reinforcing steel, or create an oversized penetration that compromises the structural integrity of the element. At Steelrite, our experienced core drilling team uses industrial diamond-tipped core drill equipment to produce clean, accurate penetrations — exactly where you need them, exactly the size you specify.
Site Assessment & Mark-Up
Before any drilling begins, our team conducts a thorough site assessment to identify the drilling locations, confirm access requirements, and check for any embedded services or reinforcing steel that could affect the drilling process. All drilling positions are marked up and confirmed with the client or principal contractor before work begins.
Diamond Core Drilling
We use industrial diamond-tipped core drill equipment to produce clean, accurate penetrations in concrete, masonry, brick, and reinforced structures. Our equipment handles a wide range of core diameters — from small conduit penetrations to large structural openings — with consistent accuracy and minimal vibration or damage to the surrounding structure.
Wet & Dry Drilling
We offer both wet and dry core drilling depending on the application and site conditions. Wet drilling uses water to cool the drill bit and suppress dust — ideal for larger diameter cores and harder materials. Dry drilling is used where water cannot be introduced — such as in occupied buildings or where wet drilling would cause damage to surrounding finishes.
Waste Removal & Site Cleanup
All core drilling waste — including concrete plugs, slurry, and debris — is removed from site by our team. We leave the drilling area clean and ready for the next trade, with no mess left behind for others to manage.
The Right Equipment. The Right Operator. The Right Result.
Core drilling is one of those trades where experience and equipment make all the difference. An undersized or oversized penetration, a damaged rebar, or a crack in the surrounding concrete can cause significant delays and costs on a construction project. At Steelrite, our experienced core drilling operators and industrial diamond equipment deliver clean, accurate penetrations — first time, every time.
How We Manage Your Core Drilling Project
Site Assessment & Scheduling
We assess the site, confirm drilling locations, check for embedded services or reinforcing, and schedule the work to fit within your project programme — minimising disruption to other trades on site.
Equipment Mobilisation
Our core drilling team mobilises to site with all necessary equipment, including industrial diamond core drill rigs, water supply for wet drilling, and dust suppression equipment where required.
Precision Core Drilling
All penetrations are drilled to the specified diameter and depth — clean, accurate, and without damage to the surrounding structure. Every drilling position is confirmed before work begins and checked on completion.
Cleanup & Handover
All drilling waste, concrete plugs, and slurry are removed from site. The drilling area is left clean and ready for the next trade. We confirm completion with the client or principal contractor before demobilising.
