The MyCiTi bus station project in Dunoon required the manufacture and installation of structural steel components to support the station’s framework. The project demanded precision fabrication to exact engineering specifications, strict adherence to safety and compliance standards, and coordinated on-site installation that could work within the broader construction programme without causing delays. As a public infrastructure project, there was zero margin for error on either quality or timeline.
Our Approach

Engineering Specification & Workshop Planning
Reviewed the structural engineering drawings and specifications for the bus station framework. Planned the fabrication sequence in our Cape Town workshop to ensure all components were manufactured to exact tolerances and ready for installation within the project timeline.
Structural Steel Fabrication
Manufactured all structural steel components — including columns, beams, and connection elements — to precise engineering specifications. Every component underwent quality control checks prior to delivery to ensure full compliance with the structural requirements of the project.
On-Site Installation & Structural Integration
Delivered fabricated components to site in Dunoon and managed the full on-site installation, integrating the structural steel framework into the broader station construction. Installation was carried out safely, accurately, and in coordination with the principal contractor to avoid programme delays.
